  • Race Bib (must be visible at all times while on course)

Tent Setup

You may set up tents:

  • Near the Lakeside Pavilion

  • Across the road near the Bath House

Do not set up tents on any portion of the course. If you do, you will be required to move them.

Mandatory Equipment:

  • Headlamp or light source for after dark running.

  • Good attitude.

Suggested Equipment:

  • Extra clothing. (It could rain. It could end up being cold. You might get muddy. You might want to wear a different shirt for each lap.)

  • Extra shoes.

  • Jet Pack.

Race Start

  • Race begins at 8:00 AM sharp.

  • Pre-race briefing will occur at approximately 7:45 AM.

Attendance is not mandatory but is strongly encouraged, as any last-minute updates will be addressed there.

How the Race Works

All racers will begin running the course clockwise at 8:00 AM.

You must have:

  • Your Bib visible

  • Your Race Passport on your person (use the provided Ziplock if needed)

You may complete as many laps as possible within the 12-hour time limit.

The race ends at 8:00 PM.
If you are still out on a lap when time expires, that lap will not count.

Lap Check-In Process

At the completion of each lap:

  1. Check in at the timer’s table (the one with the computer and monitor).

  2. Hand your Race Passport to the timer.

  3. Your passport will be physically stamped and the time recorded.

At this point you may refuel, rest, change clothes, or reset as needed. When ready, retrieve your passport and return to the course.

Direction Changes

Every three hours, course direction will alternate.

  • Start: Clockwise

  • After 3 hours: Counter-clockwise

  • Alternating every three hours thereafter

Example:
If you begin a lap at 10:59 AM, you will run clockwise.
If you begin at 11:00 AM, you will run counter-clockwise.

Please pay attention to race staff instructions and course signage. And please do not attempt to redirect fellow runners.

Deciding You’re Done

If you decide to finish before the 12-hour limit:

  • Inform race staff.

  • Your distance will be finalized.

  • A ceremonial bell will be rung.

Once the bell rings, you are finished.
Not just finished. Finished-finished. No takebacks.

You may then relax, recover, and cheer on others — but you may not return to the course.

Medals & Awards

You will receive your race medal upon completion.

Awards will be presented dynamically as placements are confirmed.
Please note: Standings may shift while other runners are still on course completing additional laps, so some awards will have to wait until placements are fully resolved.

The Final Hour

During the last hour of racing, participants checking in will have two options:

  • Attempt another full lap (~3 miles)

  • Take a shorter marked route to gain additional distance before time expires

As with the full lap, if you are still on course when time expires, you will only receive credit for distance completed at your last official check-in.

This event is built on grit, grace, and personal challenge. Run smart. Pay attention. Respect the course, staff, and each other.

We can’t wait to see what you accomplish.

See you at the starting line
